Technology.
All of our surveys use the latest laser scanning technology to capture every granular detail of the project. Our scanners capture accurate, complete and photo-realistic 3D representations of any environment in just a few minutes.
We always use the latest equipment to ensure that we provide the most efficient and cost-effective service to our clients. Our scanners are also recalibrated after every use to eliminate the risk of any deviations.

Point cloud data
Each scan measures the x, y and z coordinates, as well as the RGB colour, of thousands of millimetre points across all of the surfaces of the area being scanned. When viewed in a digital 3D environment, these points resemble a “cloud” of data, hence the term “Point Cloud” to describe this method of scanning.

Photography
At the same time, our scanners take a 360º panoramic photo at each scan location. These photos are later uploaded to our online portal and can be navigated rather like an “indoor Google Streetview”. In this way, we can photograph every inch of the property without missing a thing.

Processing
A survey can typically need anywhere between 100 and 200 scans to capture all surfaces of a property. Our software intelligently identifies common datasets between the scans and merges them into one single point cloud model, erasing all duplicated data. This stitching process is closely monitored and checked by our expert team to guarantee the quality and accuracy of the model.
Output.
Once scanned and processed, the point cloud data and panoramic photography are uploaded to a secure online portal and we provide a link that allows both to be viewed together.
The combination of the point cloud, from which millimetre-accurate measurements can be taken, and the panoramic photography, means that no return visits will ever be needed. We will capture all the information we will need in one visit, and it will remain accessible to anyone with the necessary permissions throughout the life of the project.
